90 Days to Save the World

We're volunteers. We have other jobs. It's not our style to hire someone else to raise money for us over the next two years. What we need to do is very simple; we need to raise $150,000 over the next 90 days. That's right, 90 Days To Save The World! Our long-term goal is actually $400,000, but you eat an elephant one bite at a time, right? Besides, we want to know that you're behind us, that you want to see this happen as much as we do. It's really pretty simple... we just need to Save The World!

The World Theatre Foundation was founded to preserve and restore Kearney, Nebraska's last original movie house and to provide an alternative to commercial Hollywood movies by celebrating the motion picture as art. The World Theatre Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization under the fiscal sponsorship of the Kearney Area Community Foundation and contributions are tax deductible.

DONOR LEVELS

• $25 - World Theatre T-Shirt

  Donors of $25 or more will receive a "Forget the Whales, Save the World" T-shirt. The T-Shirts are printed front and back and are available in men's and women's sizes. (shipping and handling costs are included in donation amount)

• $250 - Theatre Seat

  A donation of $250 will allow the World Theatre Foundation purchase one new seat for the theatre. Each seat will have a personalized recognition plate honoring the donor (seat and style to be determined later).

• $1,000 - Hollywood Star Name Plaque

  Contributions of $1,000 and above will be recognized with a commemorative Hollywood Star. These six inch replicas of the stars on the Walk of Fame will be customized with the donors name and displayed in the lobby of the restored theatre.

• $2,500 - Small Bronze Sidewalk Star

  Donors of $2,500 and more will have their name engraved into a 12" bronze star that will be embedded in the sidewalk outside the World Theatre where moviegoers will see it for generations to come.

• $5,000 - Oscar Statuette

  Donors contributing $5,000 or more will be presented with a 24 karat gold plated Oscar statuette that will be displayed in the restored theatre lobby (not an actual Academy sanctioned Oscar® trophy).

• $10,000 - Large Bronze Sidewalk Star

  Donors of $10,000 or more will have their name engraved into this 36" bronze star that will be embedded in the sidewalk outside the World Theatre where moviegoers will see it for generations to come.
